Why Are We Adding Another Worship Service?
Since 2022, we have grown to an average, weekend attendance of 1200 in a worship center that seats 600 max. After adding a second and third worship option, we're still seeing our 9:30am option at over 80% capacity. Our children’s area also becomes very crowded once we see 80-90 kids in one service, and we are routinely seeing over 100 during that middle option. Not to mention, our parking lot fills us to near capacity as well. So, we are at the point where we need to make more room!
This also provides us another way to reach new people. Every new service provides more space and new opportunities for people to join us. Every time we have added a new service we have witnessed growth. Thursday nights are especially exciting because it offers a chance to worship with people who may not be able to join us on Sundays because of work or weekend traveling!
Why Thursday Night?
First, we simply could not put together a Sunday morning schedule that made a fourth service feasible and, frankly, it presents a huge drain on our staff and volunteers. Friday night and Saturday night options presented too many clashes with family life and social commitments. So, Thursday seemed best. It allows for worship without interfering with those other commitments and some rest before we worship again on Sunday.
Second, as mentioned above, it gives us a chance to minister to many who cannot worship on a Sunday because of work or otherwise!
What Will Thursday Night Worship Look Like?
Thursday evenings will be the same worship, same sermons, same children’s ministry we
have on Sundays. In fact, the first sermon in every new series will be preached on Thursdays.
So, you won’t miss anything, you’ll get it first.
How Can I Help?
We are glad you asked this one!
We need about 30-40 new volunteers to be a part of our Starting Point Team (Greeters, Café
Workers, and Response) and a part of our HighPoint Kids Team.
Come to our “V(ALL IN)TEER” meeting on Thursday, January 15 at 6:00 PM. You can meet with our staff and get prepared to be a part of this new service.
Second, make Thursdays your worship service!
It would be great if 100-150 of you just chose
to worship on Thursdays with us.
Third, PROMOTE AND INVITE!
You all know people who need to be in church. Maybe this Thursday service is the perfect opportunity for them to jump in! Post all of our announcements on your Social Media sites. Tell your friends. Invite a friend to the very first Thursday night on February 12 and offer to attend with them.
Finally, PRAY!
Pray that God will use this Thursday night service to reach more people and for the strength of all who are engaged in making it happen.
