Why should I send my child to Providence Academy?

 

Mission:

Providence Academy will partner with parents to equip their children to embrace biblical truth, achieve academic excellence, and become Christ-like leaders who bring the influence of Christ’s Kingdom to their homes, churches, and communities.

What grades are available at Providence Academy?

Providence Academy is accepting students in Pre-K through 6th grade. Each year, Providence Academy will be adding a grade to eventually include Pre-K - 12th grade.

 

What are the credentials of the teachers at Providence Academy?

Every teacher holds a college degree and is certified to teach through the state of Florida’s Teacher Certification process. Each teacher must have a minimum of three years teaching experience. In addition, each of our staff members has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord.

What is the cost of tuition for Providence Academy?

Tuition is K-3rd grades: $8,400 per year  | 4th-6th grades: $7,800 per year. Families may be eligible to receive approximately $8,000 from the state. They are also able to apply for Step Up scholarships at Step Up For Students Scholarships ~ PreK4 tuition is $150 per week.

When will I find out if my child is accepted to Providence Academy?

Once you have applied, the school leaders will contact applicants about scheduling an interview. Following the interview, you will receive a confirmation of whether your child has been accepted by the end of March.

- Once accepted, a $150 registration fee will be required to reserve your child’s place at Providence Academy.


 

How will my tuition payments be processed?  

Providence Academy will be using FACTS to process payments for tuition not paid in full at the beginning of the year. Tuition will be billed on the 15th of the month prior to the current month of school. 

 

What will my child be learning?

Students will learn the core academic skills of Reading, Math, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. They will also develop a biblical worldview through the instruction embedded in the curriculum. 

 

How will my child’s progress be monitored?

Students will be regularly assessed by the teachers through formative assessments. They will also be given Progress Monitoring tests at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year. All students will take the SAT 10 test in October and April as a cumulative assessment of their grade level proficiency.
